Prayer Walks

During this unexpected and uninvited "COVID-19 Pause," we invite you to join us for several prayer walk opportunities to spiritually pause and reflect and listen to what God might have to say during these unique days.

Sunrise Prayer Walk: Come as a single, as a couple or as a family and join the members of our Christ Church Prayer Team to walk and pray with God. We will meet at the picnic table outside the main entrance of our Oak Brook campus. You will be greeted with a bottle of water, a pencil, an Oak Brook Paths Map and a copy of our Prayer Path Guide. We will explain how to use your guide as you go on your own personal walk with God, exploring and paying attention to what you see and experience as you engage all your senses. The guide will help you examine and reflect upon yourself as well as what God might want to say to you. We encourage you to bring your Bible with you for this journey.

Sunset Prayer Walk: Join our team at the picnic table outside the main entrance of our Oak Brook campus. This evening will feature what is called an "intercessory" prayer walk. As our church as well as many of our ministries reopens on Sunday, September 13 things will look and feel differently. You will be given a prayer guide with prayer requests, desires, and needs from our staff and leaders as they endeavor to be most effective for God during these challenging times. We will walk around our campus, either alone or in groups, praying for the various ministries and community of Christ Church.

Our Butterfield campus is also hosting prayer walks on different days, so you might consider joining these walks if the dates are more convenient for you.
