MOPS: Mothers of Preschoolers

Summer Park Dates | June 14, July 12 & August 9 | 9:1511:15 a.m.

Christ Church MOPS believes in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. We rally women to help them become more brave, kind and honest by providing a safe and loving community to journey through motherhood. We know that mothering can be challenging at times, and so MOPS is here to create a space where moms can be themselves.
Our specialty is serving moms. Whether you are a soon-to-be mom, first-time mom or seventh-time mom, you are welcome here. Whether you are an adoptive mom, young mom, seasoned mom, foster mom, stepmom or any other type of mom, you are welcome here.

MOPS & MOMSnext takes a break from the bi-monthly schedule over the summer but still finds fun ways to connect. Grab some coffee, bring your kids and meet other moms for a fun park play date.

June 14 Spring Rock Park Western Springs
July 12 Harvester Park Burr Ridge
August 9 Owens Park Downers Grove

MOPS & MOMSnext regular schedule will kick off again in September.

    What is MOPS?

MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. We also believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That's why we seek to build circles of moms who love each other like family. Women around the world are starting MOPS groups in churches, hospitals, YMCAs, homes, coffee shops, correctional facilities and on military bases, and profound things are taking place.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. We know it's a little confusing so let's just stick with "MOPS." We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world.

What should I expect at a MOPS meeting?

We begin meetings with time to chat with new and old friends. We enjoy listening to a speaker and finish our meeting by discussing the topic around our tables. During several meetings, instead of a speaker we have a craft and conversation which allows for more time to get to know one another on a deeper level.

What does my child do while I'm at MOPS?

Our MOPS Kids program provides a fun, loving and safe environment for children from infants to kindergarten. Mothers can relax and enjoy our meetings knowing the MOPS Kids program is caring for their children in the best possible way. The quality care, fun lessons and biblical teaching that MOPS Kids offers helps moms get the most out of their time in the meeting. The best part is it's free!

How much does it cost to join MOPS?

To help cover program costs, there is a $40 meeting fee for the first semester and a $50 fee for the second semester. The MOPS International fee is an additional $32/year. Your MOPS membership includes the benefits of the "All for Love" Welcome Kit, access to the MOPS Member Site, Tuesday Texts, email newsletters, a series of parenting videos and some other fun surprises. Either way, please don't let registration fees keep you from joining us. Scholarships are available!
