Disaster Relief Trip | Breathitt County, Kentucky |  Monday, August 29–Thursday, September 1

Samaritan’s Purse responds quickly when natural disasters strike, deploying an army of volunteers to come alongside homeowners and bring relief and compassion in Jesus’ Name.

In response to the flooding last week in Eastern Kentucky, Christ Church will be partnering with Samaritan's Purse to deploy a relief team.

Immediate Need: 10 Men and 10 Women (must be over age 14) to serve on the Relief Team

Almost a foot of rain quickly deluged a multi-county region in Kentucky, causing catastrophic flood devastation and loss of life. Thousands of residents are displaced.

Volunteers will assist people affected by the recent flood and will help in Jesus' name with mud outs and debris removal.

Additional information: Meals and sleeping quarters are provided. Volunteers need to bring twin size air mattress or cot, linens/sleeping bag, pillow, towels and personal hygiene items. Tools will be provided, and volunteers are welcome to bring their own tool belts and small hand tools. Volunteers should dress in long pants and bring work gloves, safety glasses and sturdy boots.

Would you like to join the team? Please email Kelly Shiell at kshiell@ChristChurch.us. Kelly will follow up with next steps to register for the trip with Samaritan's Purse.
