From Moses and Isaac to Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, father/son relationships are complicated. While there’s much to be learned from the parenting style of our Heavenly Father, earthly father/son relationships have lasting impact on our sense of self that few other relationships can match. Many men carry wounds from their fathers, but precious few find the tools to address them and understand their effects on their lives.
Join us as Matthew Wolak, author of the book “Loving Your Father Even Though He,” unpacks the findings from his research on countless father/son relationships. Discover the impact of “the father wounds” we carry and learn practical, Biblical steps to bring about holy restoration. Learn the mindset that helps dads or dads-to-be avoid inflicting the same (or brand-new) wounds on their own children.
Whether we remember our fathers fondly, bitterly or not at all, Wolak’s teaching stretches far beyond our own “dad issues” to influence how we show up daily as friends, partners, coworkers, dads and disciples.
