Why do we accept cryptocurrency?
There are many ways to steward or manage the gifts God has given us. Just like stock, bonds, or other assets, some invest in cryptocurrency and its value can be used as a tax-deductible way to invest in His Kingdom work.
Is cryptocurrency gifts tax deductible?
Yes! Your cryptocurrency donations are tax-deductible. For donors in the United States, the IRS has classified cryptocurrencies as property for tax purposes. When you donate Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to a nonprofit like Christ Church, you aren’t required to pay capital gains tax and the amount can be written off on your taxes.
Are cryptocurrency gifts refundable?
Cryptocurrency can fluctuate in a short period of time. As a result, we are unable to refund donations of cryptocurrency. Please make sure your gift is correct before completing your transaction.
