Construction Updates

We are glad to report that we are moving ahead with the goals we set in our LIFT initiative to improve check-in and security for youth and their families, renovate our Children and Student Ministry spaces and start a ministry that expands our capacity to include kids of all abilities. In the weeks ahead, we will begin the following at our Oak Brook campus.

  • Making aesthetic updates to the elementary classrooms for our kindergarten–grade 3, as well as our early childhood spaces
  • Expanding of our existing Student Centers for grades 4 and 5 and high school students
  • Improving families ability to navigate the family ministry wing.
  • Increasing the ability to secure our children and student spaces during weekly gatherings and in case of emergencies.

During this next phase, the end of January through the first week of April, children and student’s classrooms may temporarily change. We encourage parents to pay close attention to the room location printed on the nametag their child receives at check-in. Updates will be made at ChristChurch.us or LiftTogether.us, as well as emails from our Family Ministry team.

NEW ROOM ASSIGNMENTS

Our plan is to reopen classrooms upon their completion mid-April. We know that consistency is important for many students, we will do our best to limit changes and to communicate them in a timely manner. At the close of August, we expect all students to return to their updated and improved spaces.

If a child is especially sensitive to change, our team will be available to help any way they can. Families may also want to consider worshipping at our Butterfield campus since there is no scheduled construction at this time.

We are grateful for everyone’s understanding and partnership during this season. We are amazed at how God is working in the lives of our kids and students and look forward to the life change that will happen in these spaces.
