Made in the Image of God - Family Discussion Guide

All people are wonderfully created in the likeness of God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Our hearts are broken with the events in Minneapolis and we join you and all our families in praying for unity and change. In light of what is happening we thought it would be a perfect time to gather your family together to talk about some important values that God calls us to have for one another.

We have put together a family discussion sheet and other resources for you to use while you tackle this extremely vital topic with your child.

    Christ Church Connects
Families coming alongside of beloved members of Christ Church.

As followers of Christ we are called to be His hands and feet in our communities.
We read in the New Testament of our instruction to
"care for one another...bear one another's burdens...encourage and
build up one another...and love one another."
At this time, older members of our church may be feeling lonely because
they cannot gather with friends and their family may live far away.
Are you able to call, send cards and come along side
    one of these beloved members?

If your family is interested in being a part of this outreach please click on this and fill out the form.

    Children's Ministry

Children are a vital part of the church today. They are not the next generation, they are part of our faith community now. We need them. They inspire us. At Christ Church we are passionate about creating environments where children and servant leaders can engage with one another and where we give space for the Holy Spirit to move and form these young hearts and minds. Creative teams teach the bible and lead worship, spurring our children to love Jesus wholeheartedly and carry His light into their world. Our Children’s Ministry is a place where kids ages birth-fifth grade receive tangible expressions of God's grace and truth amongst a vibrant, loving and caring community of faith.

    Vacation Bible School
    June 22 - 26 | Canceled | Oak Book & Butterfield

2020 Vacation Bible School - Canceled
It is absolutely heartbreaking for us to announce that we will not be able to hold
Vacation Bible School (VBS) Safely this year.

This was a very hard decision to make knowing this is an event that our children, volunteers and Children's Ministry team absolutely love and look forward to it each summer, but necessary to keep everyone's health and safety our number one priority.

Please know that we will be issuing full refunds to everyone who has registered a child. The refunds will be processed in late May/early June. If you feel led and are able to donate your registration fee back to Christ Church to help bless the church during this challenging time, we would be very grateful.

    Rock 'N Canoe 2020
    July 19 - 22 CANCELED | Baraboo, WI

    July 19 - 22  Incoming 4th & 5th Graders

We are sad to announce that Rock 'N Canoe will not be happening this summer as we had hoped.  While things in Illinois are calm right now, we are seeing a resurgence of cases across the country, and we just don’t feel that an overnight camp is wise at this juncture. The social distancing restrictions necessary to assure your children’s safety would significantly change the camp experience and negatively impact the desired outcomes of our time together.  We will begin processing refunds immediately. We apologize for the email sent Sunday morning. It was scheduled in our automated email system before the pandemic.

We are however excited to announce an upcoming event that will be fun for the whole family!

It will be an adventure weekend for families to Explore God's Love for us as we enjoy time together and discover how full our lives can be with him.

Each day we will start out together and receive a short teaching and then go forward with our families to explore the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love for each of us! We are still working on mapping out our weekend, but potential activities include a Friday night Drive-in Movie at the Oak Brook Campus, Saturday Canoe / Rock Climbing day trip, and Sunday Family Photo Scavenger Hunt. Each activity will be focused on exploring God’s immense love for us.

We hope to have registrations and official dates and details posted to the web by the end of next week. So check back here frequently!! Thank you for your patience and grace as we navigate this process.

Please contact Jennie Amidei with any further questions.

Join in on an exciting adventure at Rock ‘N Canoe Summer Camp! Bring a friend! This is a great chance for the kids to be away on their own, meet new friends, build stronger relationships, and try new experiences like rock climbing and canoeing! Above all, they will have the chance to develop the most life-impacting, valuable relationship of all – a friendship with Jesus!

After registering (by clicking REGISTER button), please return to this page and click on ALL THREE LINKS listed below. You will find all instructions and forms that need to be completed for each camper.

There are 3 forms REQUIRED FOR ALL CAMPERS:

1.) Expeditions Unlimited Camp Health Examination Form

2.) Expeditions Unlimited Release of Claims and Waiver of Liability

3.) Christ Church Medication Permission Form

***All forms due 1 week after registering***

If your camper has an allergy or bringing medication to camp, you will find appropriate forms in link below as well.

If you need assistance with registration or would like to register by phone, please contact our registration desk at 630.321.6752 ext. 293 between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday or email Linda Caron with a time and number for a convenient call back.
