Christ Church Kids | Birth–Grade 5

Christ Church Kids meets every Sunday during both worship services with the expection of a few holidays. Please take a moment to register your child for Christ Church Kids with the link below before arriving Sunday.

Gather Sunday | Sunday, October 1 | Grades 1–5

Children are a vital part of the church today. Every week during all worship, our team of faith mentors teach the Bible and lead worship, spurring our children to love Jesus wholeheartedly and carry His light into their world. Christ Church Kids is a place where kids ages birth–grade 5 receive tangible expressions of God's grace and truth through fun, age-appropriate activities.

Register Your Child for Christ Church Kids
If you are new, we ask that all children be registered for Christ Church Kids. Please use the link above. Registering will allow for an easy check-in.

Sunday Check-in Process & Security Pick-up Tag
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before service to have ample time to park, check in your kids, and walk them to their classrooms. You will find parking spaces near the church doors labeled for new visitors you are welcome to use. If you enter the church through doors 1 or 17, you will find our Christ Church Kids Check-in area in The Commons. A greeter will be able to point you in the right direction, and a member of our Christ Church Kids team will then guide you through the check-in process. When you walk up to a kiosk, enter your phone number on the touchscreen and choose the class for your child based on age and service time. A nametag and a security pick-up tag will immediately print. Place the nametag on your child and drop him or her off at class before worship starts. After the worship service when you pick-up your child, it is required that you give the security pick-up tag to your child’s teacher in order to pick up your child.

Pre Check-in on Christ Church Connect App
For faster check-in, you can download the Christ Church Connect App. On Sundays before arriving, you can open the app and click on your profile picture to find "Pre Check-in". Choose your child's class and then a QR code will appear that you will scan at a kiosk. After scanning the QR code, your child's nametag and security pick-up tag will print for you. Pre Check-in only works if your child has been registered with the link above.

Release On Own | Grades 4 and 5
If you have a child in grade 4 or 5 who wishes to be released from class on his or her own without a parent or guardian showing a security pick-up tag to the teacher, please click on the Register Your Child link above and choose the RELEASE ON OWN class. Be sure to set up a common meeting spot for your family. and show your child where it is located.

Gather Sundays | Once per month | Grades 1–5
Most Christ Church Kids say this is the most fun Sunday of the month! Gather is a large group setting with fun games, crafts and worship. See more details below.

What does Family Worship and Child Care mean?
There are several Sundays throughout the year that we like to encourage our families to have Family Worship which means your children attend the worship service with you. However, there may be times when child care is available for children 4 years old and younger. Family Worship is typically scheduled on holiday weekends. We will post these days on social media and this webpage.

Bible Class and Celebration | Grade 3–5
Sundays in February | Oak Brook & Butterfield

Third Grade Bible Class and Celebration

Bible Class | Sundays in February During worship services | Oak Brook & Butterfield
Bible Celebration | March 3 | Oak Brook & Butterfield

    Registration opens in January.

Third, fourth and fifth grade students are at an exciting stage of spiritual development as they begin to learn how to navigate the Bible and seek ways to express their own personal relationship with God. The Children’s Ministry team would like to partner with families to help celebrate this important faith milestone by providing your child with their very own Bible.

This is an opportunity for your child to attend Bible class every Sunday during either worship service in February. The students will explore their new Bibles with their faith mentors, ask questions, and dive into the living Word of God! Bibles will be kept at church until March 3 when they will be presented to all the children who were in the Bible class at the Bible Celebration during the worship service. Registration is required for participation in the Bible Class and Celebration at Oak Brook.

If you would like to be a part of this special time in your child's life and help facilitate activities in class, please email Jennie Amidei. A guide will be provided to you and teachers will be present leading the class.

Registration is NOT required for our Butterfield students. The 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning check-in routine will be the same, grade 3 students will then break out as a small group. For more information or questions, contact Cathy Fiala at cfiala@ChristChurch.us
