Prayer Walks

The prayer team at Christ Church Butterfield is excited to invite you to participate in a “sunrise” & “sunset” prayer walk at our campus. Jesus, the God of all creation, has bent his ear to us and called us friends. So, friends, listen to one another and talk to one another. Join us in this special time to listen and talk to our Lord.

Sunrise Prayer Walk: We will gather outside the south doors of our Butterfield campus for a short prayer and some explanations, then we’ll “walk.” We suggest you bring your Bible, a writing utensil, and something to drink. Do remember to wear your mask and observe physical distance as always.
At the south doors, you will receive a prayer walk guide filled with suggestions for how to focus your prayer, Scripture to guide your prayer, and some room to journal if you choose to. These guides will be yours to keep; they contain enough “food” for multiple prayer walks.
Around the church grounds you will find some picnic tables placed for you to use if you would like to sit; feel free, though, to walk the grounds and to go into the surrounding neighborhood as you feel led. Members of the prayer team will be available if you have questions. Sit, walk, and pray as long as you like; when you are done, feel free to leave - there will be no formal dismissal.

Sunset Prayer Walk: The prayer team hopes you will join us again for an evening prayer walk on September 12 at 6:30 p.m. That evening the prayer focus will be intercession for our reopening and staff prayer requests so we plan to stay on the church grounds as we pray. Our building is not the church, but it is the place the church gathers. Let’s ask our God and our Friend to bless and guide our ministry together.
