FOR Chicagoland Mission Trip

As Christians, we all have a longing to do something about the difficulties we see in our world. But sometimes, we don't know where to start.

One place to start is by joining our first FOR Chicagoland Mission Trip on July 14–17. We will spend the days learning and serving with seven local mission partners to SEE where God is at work in our city, consider what we can DO to help and learn how we can LIVE on mission.

The mission partners that we will be working with are: 

By the Hand Club | A ministry that provides after-school and summer programming to children in North Austin. Assist with classroom activities and get to know the students.

Breakthrough | A ministry committed to community development in Garfield Park. Prepare and serve a meal at the men's/women's centers, assist with food market and engage with clients.

Emmaus | A ministry that works with male victims of sex-trafficking. Prepare meals and share a meal with the men that they serve.

Inner City Impact | A ministry that provides after-school and summer programming to children in Cicero. Learn about the challenges in the community and help with the summer program as a "shepherd" walking through various stations.

Lawndale Community Church | A sister-church in Lawndale. We will be sharing a meal and worshipping together.

Pacific Garden Misison | A ministry that shares the gospel and provides emergency shelter to people experiencing homelessness. Assist in the kitchen, make beds and engage with clients in the day shelter.

World Relief | A ministry of welcome to immigrants. Learn about their work with migrants and help in the warehouse at Grace and Peace Church.

The trip includes lodging and meals at Concordia University, seven interactive learning sessions, a tour of the city and our partners, and serve opportunities.

Cost

$275/person (includes 3 nights lodging at Concordia University and meals)

OR $100/person (meals only)

There is also an option to participate on select days.
