Investing in Kids
This faith-based after-school program emphasizes academic excellence while nurturing the whole child—mind, body and soul. By The Hand now serves well over 1,500 first- through twelfth-grade students in four of Chicago’s most under-resourced neighborhoods. During after-school hours—when most crimes against kids are committed—By The Hand provides a safe environment, mentors and tutors children to academic excellence, provides nutritious meals and healthcare, and invites them into the good news of the Gospel.
