By The Hand
Investing in Kids
By The Hand is a faith-based after-school program that emphasizes academic excellence while nurturing the whole child — mind, body and soul. By The Hand now serves well over 1,500 first- through twelfth-grade students in four of Chicago’s most under-resourced neighborhoods. During the crucial after-school hours — when most crimes against kids are committed — By The Hand provides a safe environment, mentors and tutors children to academic excellence, provides for their physical wellbeing with nutritious meals and healthcare, and invites them into the good news of the Gospel.
