How to live the “ONLY GOD” life:

Step 1Live Deep
With Jesus

Everything begins by remaining connected to Christ. The deeper we abide in Him, the more we discover that our story is part of God's greater story.

When we live deep with Jesus:

  • Recognize that your story finds its purpose in God's story.
  • Remain rooted in Jesus through prayer, Scripture, worship, and surrender.
  • Become a carrier of the Gospel by removing barriers that keep others from experiencing Jesus.
Step 2Show Up With Expectancy

God is already at work wherever you go. Every conversation, every meeting, and every interaction is brimming with redemptive potential.

When we show up with expectancy:

  • Expect God to move in ordinary moments.
  • Follow His promptings with courage, kindness, and curiosity.
  • Walk through every door believing God has gone before you.
Step 3Relate with Everyone

As we walk with Jesus and expect Him to move, we naturally begin loving the people He's placed in our lives.

When we relate authentically:

  • Point people to Jesus—not our opinions or preferences.
  • Live as an ambassador of Christ, representing His love with humility and grace.
  • Build genuine relationships that create opportunities to point people to Jesus.
Step 4Risk it all for what matters most

Following Jesus often requires courage. When the Holy Spirit prompts us, we choose obedience—even when it feels uncomfortable.

When we risk it all for what matters most:

  • Listen for the Spirit's whisper and take the next faithful step.
  • Be an “Everyday Ananias,” trusting God can use ordinary people in extraordinary ways.
  • Watch for the moments that leave you saying, “Only God.

STORIES

In the nail salon as it is in heaven

“You know I’ve been going to your church for the past three weeks, right?”

Kelly almost fell out of her chair.

She had been getting her nails done at the same salon for years and had been getting to know her favorite technician, Shannon, for a while. Over the last year, faith had come up in their conversations more and more frequently.

It started simply. Shannon asked Kelly what she had done that weekend, so she told the truth. She shared about a gathering at Christ Church that she had been excited about. That led to a question or two before the conversation shifted—but a seed had been planted.

As we begin a journey as a church, living the ONLY GOD life and praying, take some time to think about the “places and faces” in your life.

What are the PLACES you frequent? Invite God to transform your vision of your role in this “place” with a new sense of calling. How might you show up differently?

Who are the FACES in front of you? How might you greet a family member, neighbor or even a random person with an eternal mindset?

As you settle on these places and faces, start praying that God would do more than you could ask or imagine.
