Convergence Worship
Sundays | 10:45 a.m. | Oak Brook | Sanctuary
February 22–March 22
We hope you'll join us for a new expression of worship that seeks to honor the historic practices and liturgical rhythms of the church while gently integrating select modern musical expressions. Our desire is to preserve the rich liturgical flow, the reverence and the theological depth that define Classic Worship, while also introducing modern hymns that are text-driven, congregationally accessible and doctrinally robust.
What to Expect
- A service shaped by the historic liturgical rhythms of the church
- Organ, orchestra, and chancel choir providing primary musical leadership
- A carefully integrated rhythm section that supports the liturgy and the text
- Weekly communion as a consistent and meaningful practice
Musical Direction
- Modern hymns that are text‑driven, congregationally accessible, and theologically robust
- Music from writers and groups such as:
- Musical expressions shaped by the African American church tradition
- Occasional participation from vocalists across our campus, reflecting the unity of our church body
Our Commitment
- To steward and strengthen the 10:45 a.m. service with excellence, reverence, and pastoral care
- To honor the depth and beauty of Classic Worship while engaging newer expressions of hymnody
- To approach this season as a prayerful, Spirit‑led effort to meet the needs of those seeking both liturgical richness and fresh musical expression
