TEAM WORLD VISION FIRST GROUP RUN
April 17
8:00 a.m. | Oak Brook

Why World Vision?
Each day, nearly 1 billion people go without access to clean water, and more than 6,000 children under 5 die from diseases caused by unsafe water or lack of sanitation and hygiene. Many children in Africa walk six kilometers or more each day to fetch water.

For every $50 Team World Vision (TWV) raises, World Vision provides clean water for one child for life — transforming communities, reducing disease and allowing children to attend school and flourish.

Since 2010, Christ Church runners have raised well over $1 million for clean water, providing a new chance at life to over 20,000 children. Will you help them keep the momentum??

Join Team World Vision to train with the team, raise money for clean water initiatives, and run the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 10.

Note for First-Time Runners
If you’re thinking, “I can’t do this; I’m not a runner,” guess again! 80% of TWV team members had never run a 5K before signing up for the marathon! World Vision has a base training program that will literally take you from the couch, never having run a day in your life, to the finish line of your first marathon. Anyone can do this!
