Haggai | Global
Developing Leaders
Haggai believes that by equipping strategically positioned leaders with tools and techniques for spreading the Gospel, we can effectively eliminate Gospel poverty. 2.2 billion people have never heard the Gospel. If we are to follow Jesus’ command to spread the Gospel to all nations, then we must engage local leaders to bring His word to their communities. There is no shortcut, no easy way. Governments cannot bring peace. Education cannot bring salvation. Business and industry cannot bring healing. Psychology and sociology cannot bring joy. Only Jesus can bring reconciliation to the world.
Haggai selects strategically placed leaders who already have influence in their countries and communities. They equip these leaders with tools and techniques to effectively demonstrate and present the Gospel by successful, recognized, non-Western faculty. The classes take place over a multi-week immersive process held in four locations around the world and conducted in four of the most commonly spoken languages.
After receiving their training, Haggai leaders are challenged to equip 100 more people in their own contexts over the next two years. The leaders rise to the challenge, averaging closer to 251 new trainees in that timeframe. Haggai continues to support and encourage its leaders throughout the rest of their ministry. Throughout its ministry, Haggai has equipped over 130,000 leaders in 189 nations.
